An environmental photography competition is looking for entries from budding young photographers along the theme of "Are we waste aware?"

Entries to the Rotary Young Photographer Competition 2010, run by Keep Scotland Beautiful and Rotary International, will be accepted up until April 1 next year. Judges will be looking for imagination and style, as well as technical merit, content and composition.

Photographs can be entered in one of three age groups - under 12 years, 12-15 years and 15-18 years. They can be snapped with digital or film cameras in colour or monochrome, but all entries must be submitted to local Rotary clubs as prints no larger than A4 size by the closing date.

The overall winner will be taken on a professional shoot with Maverick Photo Agency.
