Arts - RR for young people

20th March 2009 at 00:00

A manifesto called "Children's Arts - Children's Lives" is being launched on April 3 at the MacRobert centre in Stirling by the national campaigning group Action for Children's Arts.

At the heart of its campaign is the belief that more should be done in the UK to comply with Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. A spokeswoman for ACA said: "This is a major opportunity for any group involved with children and young people to support the right of every child to have 'the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts'."
