It was a case of present, but not correct for 15-year-old Selina Gandesha, who was awarded a certificate congratulating her on 100 per cent attendance at Wreake Valley community college, Leicester, a school she's never been too.

"I'm going to frame this and put it on the wall," she said.

Selina had been offered a place at the school two years ago, but went to Leicester grammar instead. Helen McDermott, Wreake Valley principal, said it was an administrative error.
