A visit from the BBC2 Working Lunch film crew and health spa breaks are among the prizes offered by the BBC Big Challenge Health Works award scheme, which rewards companies who encourage fitness and health among employees. Awards will be given to the healthiest small, medium and large employers, an unsung hero and the most improved employer. Judges include Sally Gunnell and Colin Jackson. Closing date: December 2.

The Physical Education Association of the UK (PEAUK) invites nominations throughout the year for its Gerald Murray Awards, which recognise high-quality teaching, and its NQT Awards sponsored by Stadia Sport.

Winners receive cash prizes for themselves and equipment for their schools.
