Bag a garden

30th March 2007 at 01:00
An African farmer will show children how to grow vegetables without a garden. Helen Kongai, from Uganda, will visit primaries in the south-west of England over the next month, explaining how training provided by Send a Cow charity has helped change the lives of African families. She will demonstrate how to build a bag garden, one of the farming techniques families have learnt to enable them to grow vegetables with a minimum of water and soil.
