Basques in a hurry

6th February 1998 at 00:00
Another wise man who came from the west to the Edinburgh heidies' conference was Cameron Munro, the parents' champion. As Scotland now appears to be paying homage to Catalonia's education system, it is a timely moment to pass on Munro's cautionary tale about the party of teachers from northern Spain who came over to Scotland.

On leaving their hotel for a night out, they got stuck in the revolving door as they tried to escape at the one time. The moral of the story, of course, is that you shouldn't put all your Basques in one exit.
