BBC offers surfing course;In brief

INTERNET novices can sign up for a free taster session to get them started on the information superhighway - including the World Wide Web and e-mail - in a new BBC campaign. More than 5,000 organisations, including schools, football clubs and supermarkets are participating in the scheme, part of the Webwise initiative that begins on April 26. To book, call 0800 100 900 from April 26. Sessions end on June 4. There is also a Webwise website (www.bbc.co.ukwebwise) catering for beginners through to seasoned surfers. Friday, 32
