Wish I Was Here is an exhibition currently touring on the Travelling Gallery bus until May 2001. The project includes commissioned lens-based portraits by six artists of 24 Scottish-based poets from mixed cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The portraits also illustrate the Wish I Was Here pocketbook of poetry.

There is an educationpack which can be used independently but enhances the understanding of the concepts explored. The pack is written for teachers and pupils and the ideas can be adapted for all ages and abilities.

Education packs and more information from Grace Whowell, Travelling Gallery, City Art Centre, 2 Market Street, Edinburgh EH1 1DE.
