Angela McFarlane (right) of Homerton College at Cambridge University is joining Becta as director for evidence and practice. The director of Homerton's Centre for Research into Educational Information and Communications Technology has previouslyworked with BECTA on evaluations of integrated learning systems and portable computers. Owen Lynch, the agency's chief executive, said he was delighted to have someone of Dr McFarlane's calibre joining BECTA's senior management team.
