Benefit booster

28th June 1996 at 01:00
Many families (and sometimes the people who support them) are not aware of all the benefits that are available to them. The easy-reference Matching Families and Benefits handbook, published by the National Early Years Network, is aimed at playgroups, advice and family centres, pre-schoolsnurseries, teachers and everybody who works with young people and their families.

It gives full details of means-tested and non-means-tested benefits and covers 20 special circumstances, such as families with a disabled child, children under five at school or in day care, and young mothers under 18. It costs Pounds 7.99 from National Early Years Network, 77 Holloway Road, London N7 8JZ, tel: 0171 607 9573.
