Best of British

8th June 2007 at 01:00
An exhibition celebrating the work of artists whose illustrations help to sell everything from books to prophylactics (below) has opened at the Park Gallery in Callendar Park, Falkirk. Images 30 runs until July 1 and features more than 60 examples of the best of British contemporary illustration. Unlike fine art paintings and drawings, illustrators work to a brief, set by clients who want a picture that will help sell a product or complement a newspaper or magazine article.

The show would be of particular interest to secondary schools and colleges, but worksheets are available for primary.
