Big Bug Count

Families embarking on car trips are invited to record the number of bugs "splatted" and send the results to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds to help build a picture of how declining insect populations across the UK have affected some of our best-loved birds such as sparrows, swallows and house martins. Participants will be armed with a specially designed "splatometer" (a cardboard grid to aid the counting of insect splats on a number plate).
