Birmingham - Prezza power takes on globe

Former deputy Prime Minister John Prescott met pupils at Yardleys Science College in Tyseley last month as part of his New Earth Deal schools tour to discuss efforts to tackle climate change.

"Sixty years on, the threat isn't from war, it's climate change," Mr Prescott said. "That's why we propose drafting a new protocol, enshrining a healthy environment as a fundamental human right."

The UK tour saw Mr Prescott visit four schools in three days. MH.
