Birthday blues

Children are becoming increasingly stressed about their birthdays as a result of pressure to organise a special event and fear that their parents may embarrass them, according to research.

Parents also worried about not meeting their child's expectations on their big day, a survey of more than 2,500 children and adults by Haribo, the sweet firm, found.
