We are grateful to the Herald's estimable diarists for information on the latest missive to emerge from Glasgow City Council.

The land services department has sent out a note to the school crossing patrol service, indicating to the lollipop ladies and gents that they can request to have their payslips provided in Braille if they are visually impaired.
