Blue sky thinking

Talking of HMI, as we frequently do, we are delighted to see it taking an inventive turn in its design department.

The latest Standards and Quality report, on special schools, shows a couple of youngsters looking up at a cloudy sky with blue patches - or a blue sky with clouds, if you prefer. A classic inspectorate vision - cloudy in places.

Incidentally, the two pupils cannot be identified in the photograph because they have been shot from behind, as it were. Edinburgh City Council will be pleased.
