Boldly going

We know how to spot the winners. The Scottish writers CD-Rom, which we featured in February, has been nominated for no less than a BAFTA award for interactive entertainment.

The other two nominees in the "learning awards" category are Lucas Learning Limited (as in George Lucas) fr a Star Wars maths program, and Lego and Steven Spielberg Movie Makers.

They clearly influenced the Scots production team. According to the project's Theresa Breslin, pupils can "log on for the Scottish writers' rescue mission and travel the galaxy collecting books".
