Orion Press will receive the pound;500 Saltire SocietyTESS award at a ceremony on the opening day of the Educational Resources Scotland exhibition next Wednesday. The winning book, The Story of Scotland, was written and illustrated by Richard Brassey and Stewart Ross and is aimed at the upper-primay age group. Three entries have been commended in the the annual competition. They are Thomas Nelson for Intermediate 1 and 2 Mathematics, Oxford University Press for A History of Scotland - Modern Times and Scottish Enterprise for a loose-leaf set of practical materials for 14-plus.
