Boys on rape charge

5th September 1997 at 01:00
Two 10-year-old boys have been charged with the rape of a girl aged nine in a West London primary school toilet. The pair, believed to be the youngest to face the charge, and two other boys aged 10 were also charged with indecent assault following the incident in May.

All four have been bailed to appear before magistrates on September 24. A fifth boy arrested at the time has not been charged because, at nine, he is below the age of criminal responsibility.
