Brain food

Gary Burnett and Kay Jarvis, authors of Parents First, have a wealth of experience as parents, teachers, governors and trainers. They help those who aren't confident about what their children are experiencing in their education but want to help and support them. The book explains current research about how the brain works and gives practical advice on applying this knowledge to studying and learning at school. It covers subjects from homework and tests to foreign languages and secondary transfer.
