SOLUTIONS Fireworks (Age 5 to 8) 1: The boxes have 1, 3, 5 and 7 fireworks in them. 2: The boxes have 6, 2, 5 and 3 fireworks in them. If there are 8 fireworks in one pair of boxes, there are 8 in the other pair. The possibilities for the pairs are 7 and 1, 6 and 2, or 5 and 3. Since the largest number is even, the boxes must hold 6, 2, 5 and 3 fireworks.

Jacket potatoes (Age 7 to 11) 1 : 50p, 20p, 20p, 5p, 2p, 2p, 2p, 2p. 2: Eight 10p and 22 1p coins.
