* You, quite rightly, pay fulsome tribute to the late Ted Wragg ("Goodbye teachers' champion", TES, November 18). But Ted's influence extended far beyond education. Wherever there was a man in a suit with a clipboard or a management consultant chanting a mantra, his words hit home. Hence you will struggle to find the names of Blair or Adonis among those who recognised Ted as a national treasure.
