Next week sees the start of the British Association's Annual Festival of Science at the University of Birmingham. The educational highlight will be a paper from this year's president of the Education Section, Professor Jim Campbell, director of Warwick University's Institute of Education.He will address the question of raising standards in primary school and, it is expected, how national testing regimes can help or hinder the process.
