* Independent research from the British Market Research Board on behalf of The BT Learning Centre has shown access to the internet at home is the key to motivating pupils to do homework. The research found the internet is rated above library and textbooks for completing assignments and children with internet access at home are 43 per cent more likely to give extra attention to their homework. The survey also showed a quarter of pupils find homework hard because they have fewer resources at home than at school.
