Museums and Galleries Month
This year's theme is "Travel and the art of travelling". Major anniversaries being celebrated in UK museums and galleries include the 200th anniversary of the first steam engine at the National Railway Museum, York. Museums and Galleries Month is organised by the Campaign for Museums, with support from engage (National Association for Gallery Education) and other organisations.

Junior tennis challenge
Young tennis players are invited to participate in a UK junior doubles challenge and raise funds for Save the Children.
Closing date for entries: June 30. Qualifying events will be held during July and August, regional heats in September and finals in October 16.
