Call for common Euro history

18th February 2000 at 00:00

M Zimeray has written to all 626 MEPs asking them t back plans to achieve "the teaching of a common understanding of European history".

But East Midlands MEP Chris Heaton-Harris said: "What Zimeray is suggesting is that all schools teach the same history in the same way with the same meaning."
