Special things happen in schools every day. This is your chance to show us what's new, unusual or funny about your school. We're looking for intriguing images of everyday life taken by you or your pupils

Doug Eve, a science teacher at Marlborough school, St Albans, showed great courage in giving up his leg hair for a good cause. Staff ran the waxing session to raise funds for Year 8 pupil Stevie Pearson, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and will travel to Paris and Atlanta to represent England at wheelchair football

Trigger, a mechanical cantering horse, is touring 22 primary schools. As part of the Petplan Equine National Riding Festival, children such as those at Colgate primary school, West Sussex (pictured) are learning about horseriding, rosette making and assembling a bridle

Mama mia! Year 2 from St Anne's CW infant school in Roath, Cardiff, man the kitchens at Pizza Express as part of a partnership with industry course.

Teacher Sarah Bailey isn't sure which was more fun - making the pizzas and experimenting with all the toppings, or eating them in the playground pizza party afterwards
