Catch Harold Pinter, Alexei Sayle, Jung Chang and Doris Lessing at Personal Wonderlands on November 25, an event in the City of London to raise money for English PEN's Readers amp; Writers programme, which funds author visits for schools in disadvantaged areas, adult education centres, prisons, young offender institutions and community groups. If you can't spare pound;50 and have never been able to afford an author visit to your school, see www.englishpen.org to find out how to qualify for the scheme, which offers three years' support and covers not only the authors' payments, but sets of their books.
