Famous Africans are celebrated in the Great African Personalities calendar. The 14-month calendar, which runs from December 2004 through to January 2006, is produced by BIS. Each month of the A4 calendar features a black and white photo, biography, historical information and a map of Africa. The backpage of the calendar also has a list of useful weblinks and books. As well as the usual calendar dates, African dates of celebration, civil rights events and significant birthdays from the African diaspora are featured.
