Change of fortune

A former Clyde shipyard chief executive is to chair the New Glasgow Campus project. The Pounds 300 million initiative, which is rumoured to face escalating costs, will be headed by Vic Emery who turned round the fortunes of the Scotstoun and Govan yards while in charge. He will be responsible for turning four city centre colleges into a supercampus with 50,000 students and 2,000 staff by 2015.
