Christmas card schools

TWO nursery schools which help poor shanty-town children enter the Peruvian state school system have launched a Christmas card appeal to raise funds. The Westnell Nursery Society, a registered charity, has helped 700 children to gain a primary school place over the past 17 years. Westnell relies on the sale of Christmas cards, sponsored events and donations to raise its pound;32,000 annual budget. See
