Virtually every school in Bradford will be affected by a massive reorganisation announced this week by the city council.

Nearly 80 schools will close under proposals to replace the three-tier system of first, middle and upper schools with traditional primaries and secondaries. Others will merge andor transfer to new sites.

Officials say the same number of teachers will be required and that teacher:pupil ratios will be maintained.
