Class on the beach

Cornwall College students have never had far to travel to the beach but now a lucky few will only have to step out of their classroom door to feel sand between their toes. The college this week opened a classroom on Tolcarne Beach, Newquay Bay, for students on its surf science and technology foundation degree. The facility will also be used by students on the college's marine conservation foundation degree, and its planned applied ecology foundation degree, due to start in September.
