Cola refreshes lessons

THE jump between primary and secondary science is made easier for pupils by using real-life science examples. An evaluation of bridging material produced by the Science Transition AstraZeneca York project found that when Year 6 and 7 teachers used common approaches to teaching, transition was smoother. Pupils liked real-life science such as investigating fizz in cola and bread-making.
