College seeks charter

One of England's most prestigious teacher-training colleges is likely to become part of Cambridge University. Homerton College has been given permission by the university to seek a Royal Charter. Students and staff at Homerton have been university members for more than 30 years but, as an Approved Society, it has been governed by trustees. Under the charter, it could become a full college of the university.
