Community role model

Steve Marshall, head of the department for education, culture and the Welsh language, said Fitzalan High School in Cardiff had become a role model for community-focused learning in Wales during a visit last week to officially open an on-site multimedia and performing arts centre. The re-naming of the school's technology centre, in memory of the long-serving chair of governors Les Poole, also took place.
