Aspiring journalists still at school or university can enter unpublished essays of up to 1,200 words by April 29 responding to: "Within the last 50 years, the relations between men and women, and between races, have been revolutionised. Should the relations between humans and animals undergo a comparably dramatic transform-ation within the next 50 years, what will the likely consequences be, for better or worse?".
