Young artists in age groups 5-8, 9-11 and 12 plus are invited to illustrate using oil pastels, anything they associate with Japan from bullet trains to rice paddies, or samurai to sampans, in a "Colours of Japan" poster competition run by Platignum and Cray-pas Oil Pastels, closing date June 30. The winner in each group will receive a Sony Playstation plus pound;500 of Platignum art and craft materials for their school. Details: Platignum marketing manager, 01763 244133.
