* The camera and photocopier manufacturer Canon is funding an educational project and competition in schools and colleges. It has sent 5,500 packs called "Writing With Light" to teachers across the UK. The packs are aimed at pupils aged 11 to 18 and include teacher's notes, pupil worksheets and competition details. Designed and written with teachers, it shows how photography can be built into various activities. The competition offers students the opportunity to win cameras for themselves, and the three winners will each receive equipment for their school.
