BIG GREEN YOUTH CHALLENGE

The Environment Agency is challenging groups of up to 10 pupils attending London secondary schools to write a report by June 22 identifying the biggest environmental problems in their area and suggesting solutions. The best three entries will win pound;500, pound;250 and pound;100 and will give a presentation at the London Big Green Youth Forum in Westminster on July 6. Details: 0118 953 5553.

PETsART PETsMART, the pet product retailer, is inviting children in three age groups (under 7, 8 to 11 and 12 to 16) to produce a picture of their pet. All entries will be displayed in Petsmart stores from June 21-July 11 and all winners and runners-up pictures will be at the PETsART exhibition at the Barbican, London EC2, August 4-17.
