VOLUNTEUROPE:EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON VOLUNTEER ACTION

Seminars and workshops from international experts at University of Westminster, London SW1. The first is aimed at those with up to three years' experience of volunteer organising. The second includes workshops on screening abusers from volunteer programmes, student community action and employees as volunteers. Fee: Pounds 400 (Pounds 90 day rate available for the second). SEPTEMBER 17-18 DRAWING ACROSS BOUNDARIES

Symposium at Loughborough University which will take a critical look at the nature and value of the activity of drawing. Speakers include: the philosopher, Professor Richard Wollheim, from California University; Mary Kelly, contemporary artist; and Professor Stephen Farthing, Ruskin School, Oxford University.
