JULY 5-7 CHALLENGING READING IN THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM Organised by the London Association for the Teaching of English at Corsica Hall, Seaford, East Sussex. Speakers include: John Moss, lecturer, Kent University, and NATE research officer. Workshops include: developing whole school reading and teaching pre-20th century texts. JULY 5 A-LEVEL LAW Organised by the Association of Law Teachers at Butterworths, Chancery Lane, London WC1. It is particularly aimed at the sole teacher of law who has no law colleagues. JULY 10-13 INCLUSION '96: DEVELOPING THE TOOLS TO GET IT RIGHT Organised by Centre for Studies on Inclusive Education, Barnardo's, the GMB Union and Integration Alliance at GMB College, Manchester, for teachers, parents and disabled people. Plenary sessions include whole-school policies for inclusion and workshops include: fighting cases using the law, disability in the curriculum, empowering young disabled people, and race equality within the inclusion movement.
