Sheffield the Multilingual City is hosting a conference on Languages for Regeneration at Sheffield Hallam University, July 5. Through talks, workshops and exhibitions, it will explore how important language competence is within the world of work and to regeneration strategy. Speakers include Nigel Tomlinson on the role of Sheffield's new International Trade Centre and Keith Marshall, who will deconstruct some myths about the role of languages for work.
