Your Future in Europe, a seminar for ages 16-18, will be held in the Palais des Congres, Paris, January 28. More than 2,500 students of history, politics, business studies, economics and languages are expected to attend. The conference ends in a question time with a panel of MPs. The Bilingualism and Education Network will hold its annual primary modern language conference at Connaught Hall, University of London, 36-45 Tavistock Square, WC1, on February 3. Topics include an update on policy and practice; the use of drama in teaching French; and using French as a teaching medium for other curriculum areas.

The Italian Cultural Institute London offers courses at all levels for those wishing to learn Italian. In-service days for Italian teachers are co-organised by the Association for Language Learning and an Italian Language Week held every October includes events for Italian teachers.
