Scotland's most impressive health and food technology student has been rewarded with a lesson from one of the nation's best chefs.
Quality Meat Scotland - the red meat industry body - named Monifieth High's Beth Henry as top Scottish student in Higher health and food technology.
The prize for Beth and one of her teachers was a lesson with Nick Nairn (pictured), and pound;500 for the Angus school.
Beth, 16, learned to cook a three-course menu: scallops with oriental salad and sweet chilli dressing; peppered fillet of beef with whisky sauce, and warm, soft chocolate rounds.
She is continuing her studies in home economics and is also taking Higher fashion design this year.
