The fees for Harrow School increased by 4.95 per cent to pound;5,300 per term this year, not by 13 per cent as stated in The TES on November 12. Fees for Eton rose by 5.8 per cent to pound;5,220 per term, not by 12 per cent. The average cost of a private-school education was pound;2,162 per term in 1997-98.
