Counting incompetents

Just how many `incompetent' teachers are there?

Surely Chris Woodhead must be wrong if he is still arguing that there are 15,000 incompetent teachers ("Panorama slams `incompetent' staff", July 9). Since he and I have now retired, the figure must be 14,998.
