The Lothian Junior Development Group will shortly announce a part-time coach for the Lothian Local Authority Schools XI. The coach will be expected to take winter coaching sessions on Sundays throughout January and February and to conduct sessions at practice nets from April.

The Lothian Schools played against five independent schools in the Edinburgh area over the summer. It lost to Fettes College by five wickets, Loretto by 64 runs, Merchiston Castle by 155 runs and Stewart's Melville College by eight wickets but beat George Watson's College by 82 runs.
