Scotland's young cricketers have had one of their most successful seasons to date. The Under-13 team went through its eight-game progamme unbeaten, the Under-17s won the European title in Ireland and the Under-15 team was runner-up in the European Championship in the Netherlands.

"Ther's no real secret, it's just we have a good crop of young players," says David Potter, operations manager of the Scottish Cricket Union. "All we can hope is that they progress the way we would like and that two or three will go on to become decent players for us at senior level."
