Damp but not down

Secretary of State Ed Balls has promised millions to ensure flood ravaged schools are back in business by September after the wettest start to the holidays in living memory (page 6). The floods have brought many stories of teachers going the extra mile to look after vulnerable pupils and save valuable school equipment from destruction. The weather might be foul, but the profession is clearly in great shape.
